A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV),
A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), also referred to as a visitor visa, is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office that enables an individual for admission to Canada as a temporary resident. The eligible candidate will have the necessary travel documents, financial resources for their trip, and medically approved.
A TRV is not necessary if someone is traveling from visa-exempt countries, however, an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) still has to be obtained. The ETA is a document that allows one to travel in Canada by plane. It is an entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals traveling to or transiting through Canada by air.
The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa
The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa is a temporary resident permit that allows parents and grandparents to stay for up to 2 years in Canada per visit. It is valid for up to 10 years. The parent or grandparent must be considered admissible to Canada as well as other requirements including but not limited to: valid travel documentation, a letter of financial support by the Canadian resident, proof of medical insurance
International Experience Class (IEC)
International Experience Class (IEC) is a program that enables young adults, aged 18 to 35, to work in Canada temporarily. Through an agreement with the country of residence of the individual, one can apply for IEC keeping in mind the eligibility requirements of their own country as well as Canada.
The IEC program is composed of three categories:
- Working Holiday
- Young Professionals
- International Co-op
